@bluegreen118 Diary of A Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel by Jeff Kinney

The story follows the adventures of Greg, a middleschool kid whose life seems to be followed by unprecedented misfortunes.

However, Greg still finds humor in everything that ends up finding the bright side of his every disaster. In this installment,

Greg’s school is preparing for their Valentine’s Day dance. Greg and his bff, Rowley, being the awkward kids in school, are expected to attend the dance without a date. In a sudden turn of events, Greg found a partner which left Rowley to be the odd man out. But during the dance, unexpected twists happened and we can never really know who ends up being lucky in love and who becomes the third wheel. This is a hilarious middle grade novel perfect for young readers and just everyone who is young at heart. @jupiter7349 Battle Royale by Koushun Under the guise of a “study trip,” a group of junior high students are gassed, only to awaken in a school on an isolated island, wearing metal collars around their necks. Later, they are forced to fight each other to the death by the authoritarian government, with each battle publicized on television.

Widely considered as the original “Hunger Games,” “Battle Royale” by Koushun Takami is so insanely entertaining with its violent twists and turns that it kept me up all night. If you enjoy psychology, murder, survival, and dystopian love in Japan, this book is definitely a must-read.
