BSP, INDONESIA’S OJK START ABIF TALKS:
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando Tetangco Jr. (center) concludes the signing of the letter of intent to formally begin negotiations under the ASEAN Banking Integration Framework (ABIF) with Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) chairman Muliaman Hadad in a ceremony held recently in Jakarta. OJK (Financial Services Authority) is the Indonesian banking regulator. Under ABIF’s broad guidelines, BSP and OJK will hammer out a bilateral agreement on the establishment of Qualified ASEAN Banks between the two countries.
