EVERY DAY IS GLAM DAY WITH BENCH
Local retail powerhouse Bench gives everyone something to watch out for as it rolls out its back-to-school campaign. Highlighting the brand’s latest collection along with its continually growing roster of endorsers, #BenchEveryday is a playful take on cool casuals and is proof that Bench is, indeed, perfect for work and play all day, every day. So take out your pen and paper and prepare to take some notes as your favorite Pinoy brand schools you on some of the country’s freshest faces and on the season’s latest trends.
THE FRESHMEN
Like every new school year, Bench’s new campaign introduces some new-kidson-the-block. First on the list is Ashley Ortega, a young actress and commercial model who proves she can rock a cap-and-pullover combo with boyish charm just as much as she can add feminine flair to a crisp shirtdress.
Next in line is newbie actor Bruno Gabriel. With showbiz in his blood, Bruno shows he can definitely work the camera as he stays comfy in his raglan tee and selvedge jeans.
Anjo Damiles also joins the list of faces to watch out for. The 21-year-old actor, who recently played leading man to fellow Bench baby Julia Montes, now lends his charms to the brand, sporting daily wardrobe essentials such as the graphic tee, the collared shirt, and the jogger pants.
SQUAD GOALS
As they move out of what’s been dubbed as the most famous house in the Philippines, the teens of Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 move into a new house — a retail powerhouse, that is. The show’s most recent Teen Big Winner, Maymay Entrata, and her fellow PBB alums Edward Barber, Kisses Delavin, and Marco Gallo are now four of the newest — and youngest — faces representing the country’s largest clothing and lifestyle brand. Clad in cool, coordinated looks, the party of four shows off some serious style as they remind us why they are the kids to watch.
The gang takes fashion risks — and rocks them — in this campaign. Socks with heels and denim overalls worn over a bright-hued hoodie, for instance, are some of the covetable style combos Maymay pulls off with ease.
Meanwhile, Kisses gets cozy in polos and sweaters for looks that are stylishly suited for the rainy days ahead. Of course, the boys also serve up some OOTDs that are sure to make others do a double-take.
Marco channels cool kid nonchalance in camo, denim, and twill jackets that are perfect for the season, while Edward brings out his good boy charm in preppy layers: a chambray polo worn under a knit pullover for one look, and a dark-hued hoodie worn over a tee with patches in the next.
THE CAMPUS CRUSHES
Bench also welcomes back some familiar faces as they breathe life into this back-toschool campaign.
The teen tandem of Bailey May and Ylona Garcia decked out in matching sweaters give off that undeniable cool kid appeal, while Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid keep it sweet and simple in their breathable Bench basics.
Whether he’s playing the other guy in a love triangle or the actual leading man that’s got someone drunk with love, Paulo Avelino can make anything look good. Posing like a pro in his printed polo and cropped pants, the actor proves that a little effort always goes a long way.
The same can be said about the ever simple but stunning Julia Montes, who also kills it in everyday wear as she pairs her Bench denims with a printed boxy top that hugs her body in all the right places.
Another favorite Julia, Julia Barretto, slays the day with a choker-neck cropped top and dark denims.
Meanwhile, it-girl Isabelle Daza and model-on-the-rise Michelle Dee, both of whom take after their respective beauty queen moms, command attention with their swoonworthy style. They borrow from the boys as Belle pairs her white men’s polo with wide-leg pants, while Michelle rocks oversize denim overalls over a white tank top.
Max Collins also stays on-trend and on point in her colorblock pullover and paperbag denims.
Of course, the boys of Bench rock their favorite brand’s sartorial staples as well. Inigo Pascual speaks his mind in a statement long-sleeve shirt and cozy joggers, while the Pacquiao brothers, Jimuel and Michael, get all bundled up in hoodies, reminding us that it’s definitely the perfect time for some layering.
