AND NOW, NAPPIES THAT MAKE BABIES — AND MOMMIES — REALLY HAPPY

- LAI S. REYES

Until the day the baby is fully potty trained, it seems that parents are in a never-ending search for the perfect diaper — one that offers the best comfort for babies as they grow from newborn to toddler.

Doting mom Juana Yupangco used to buy two sets of diapers for her baby. “Use the cheaper brand when you’re just at home, then spend a little more if you’re attending a party or going on long drives because the baby stays dry and comfortable longer. That way, I manage to get out of nappy trouble and save money at the same time,” shares Juana.

That was until she discovered Goo.n Diapers, a line of Japanese-made premium diapers.

“Goo.n boasts an ultra-absorbent core and is super soft, which is ideal for my baby’s sensitive skin. It’s a premium brand, but isn’t as expensive as one may think,” she enthuses at the official launch of Goo.n Diapers held at Manila House. “From now on, it’s Goo.n or nothing for my baby.”

GO ON WITH GOO.N

Goo.n Diapers, a leading diaper brand in Japan and Southeast Asia, is now in the Philippines through One-Stop Distribution Inc. that brings in premier goods to the country.

“There’s still a gap between high-quality diapers at a more affordable price in the country. Goo.n Diapers is priced a little bit below the leading brand for the same level of protection. And since Goo.n is a Japanese brand, we assure our consumers that the quality is better and it’s lower priced,” explains Jesse Maxwell, president of One Stop Distribution Inc.

The experts behind Goo.n Diapers design their line of nappies based on consumer feedback and intensive research on parental needs. They discovered that the top priorities for parents are diapers that are easy to use, do not leak and most importantly, prevent diaper rash.

“Before we brought Goo.n in, we did our own assessment of the brand’s quality. We even visited the factory in Japan and saw the level of commitment to research and design, innovation and quality. And that’s how we really got impressed,” shares Jesse whose wife gave birth recently.

“It’s an amazing experience,” the new dad gushes. “We’re doing really well. A few sleepless nights in the beginning, but with Goo.n, everything’s good so far.”

So, was it pure coincidence that you brought in Goo.n Diapers at the same time your baby was born?

“It’s all about strategic planning,” Jesse says with an impish grin. “We started negotiations over a year ago. We learned that Elleair International Thailand and Goo.n wanted to expand the brand’s distribution in other ASEAN countries. I’m so glad we made that deal. We’re very excited because this diaper brand is super-high quality. And as a new dad, I know that’s what my baby deserves.”

Hands-on dad Eric Menk shares Jesse’s sentiments. “I have two kids: a four-year-old daughter and a toddler, Sebastian. There are so many things going on during the day so you don’t want to worry about diaper problems. Goo.n Diapers gives me the assurance and peace of mind that Sebastian won’t get messy leakage and diaper rash. He can keep on moving without the discomfort with Goo.n Diapers,” asserts Eric.

Goo.n Diapers’ ultra-absorbent core and super soft, dry and breathable outer sheets wick moisture away from your child’s skin and allow your baby to move freely.

“With Goo.n, there’s a lesser chance for babies to get rashes. It has the air-flow technology that stabilizes the temperature inside the diaper. So babies feel comfortable. The elastic isn’t too tight as well,” notes Champ Rosruen, sales and marketing representative, Elleair International Thailand.

SLEEP, MY DARLING BABY!

With Goo.n, babies can experience uninterrupted sleep and more active playtime. Moms need not worry about having to change diapers all the time or feel anxious that their babies will get messy leakage or diaper rash.

Sisters Jessica Kienle-Maxwell and Stephanie Kienle-Gonzalez, Goo.n Diapers’ newest brand ambassadors, lead hectic schedules. For this designing duo, making time for both family and career can be quite a challenge.

“Motherhood is such a life-changing experience. When I first had my child, juggling my work and parenting together was tough. But as I learned along the way, choosing high-quality diapers was so important for my baby’s welfare and makes my job a lot easier,” says Stephanie. “And now that Jess has just given birth, I can’t wait to share more of my parenting tips and experience motherhood together with her.”

Jessica had no idea being a new mom would be so stressful. “It’s basically like a roller-coaster ride the first week. Pretty tough. But then, honestly, it’s pretty amazing. Just seeing Luca’s face light up in the morning is enough to get me going,” relates Jessica.

When it comes to their babies, Stephanie and Jessica agree that comfort comes first.

“I come from a family with sensitive skin. What we love about Goo.n is that it’s super absorbent and safe on baby’s skin. The absorbency is really impressive and better absorbency means longer sleep. We don’t have to change him as often as we used to,” Jessica adds.
