-

Infrastructure conglomerate Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) recently made it to an international publication’s list of the 50 leading firms in investor relations (IR).

Based on IR Magazine’s 2017 Global Top 50 IR Excellence Ranking, MPIC joins Kasikornbank of Thailand as the only entries from Southeast Asia.

“We are gratified by our inclusion in the IR Excellence Rankings, and laud its impact on MPIC and the financial community as a whole,” said David Nicol, the company’s chief financial officer. “I commend the diligent work and dedication of the IR team to achieve this recognition.”

“Our inclusion in this ranking is a testament to MPIC’s commitment to transparency and accessibility. Our main goal has always been to keep a two-way communication going between our investors and senior management,” added Maricris Aldover-Ysmael, assistant vice president for IR at MPIC.

The global ranking is based on surveys of investors and analysts conducted by IR Magazine. This includes the winning companies and best runners-up in the regional awards, as voted by the investment community.

Individual ranking are based on total points received across all categories, divided by the number of survey respondents and multiplied by the region’s market cap.

Over the past 12 months, IR Magazine held awards ceremonies in Europe, Brazil, Canada, US, Greater China and Southeast Asia.

The order of the top 20 will be revealed at the magazine’s Global Forum, a two-day conference bringing together companies from around the world, on Oct. 3-4 in Paris, France. This event also brings together IR professionals to network and learn best practices.
