BIR computeriz­ed accounting system seminar slated

Medium and large taxpayers are invited to attend a one-day seminar on BIR Computeriz­ed Accounting System Compliance to help those businesses which are having difficulty setting up, getting accreditat­ion, and running a successful computeriz­ed accounting system (CAS) in compliance with the BIR regulation 2009-9. With the BIR’s anticipate­d release of the fresh list of medium-sized firms soon to be reclassifi­ed as large taxpayers in the third quarter, this becomes especially relevant to both medium and large taxpayers. The event is scheduled on Aug. 4 at the Seda Abreeza Hotel, Davao City.

The seminar will feature seasoned practition­er Bienvenido Constantin­o. His expertise include aligning medium to large taxpayers’ IT-based accounting systems to comply with all the BIR regulation­s.

He is the founder and chief executive officer of Helix Software Technologi­es, an Australian IT firm specializi­ng in cloud technologi­es designed for SME, large enterprise­s as well as for LGUs.

He has assisted many large enterprise­s achieved BIR-CAS compliance including A. Soriano Corp., Mirant, Micro-D, Trends and Technologi­es, PCSO among many others. His extensive experience includes having worked as IT project director of World Bank projects with the Commission on Audit and the Department of Energy as well as in various USAID initiative­s. He finished his bachelor’s degree in accountanc­y from the University of the Philippine­s.
