UK pop-rock band The Vamps (photo) will return to Manila for their Middle of The Night Tour on Oct. 6 at the Ayala Mall, Luna Drive, Vertis North in Quezon City. Concert promoter MMI Live has also confirmed that the British pop trio New Hope Club will be supporting The Vamps.

The Vamps burst into the scene in 2013, debuting at No. 2, 3 and 2 on the Official UK Singles Chart for their first three singles (Can We Dance, Wild Heart, Last Night). They’ve since achieved an impressive amount of success around the world and scored their first No. 1 album in the UK in July.

Their ongoing tour, which includes the band’s third visit to Manila, is in support of their third album Night and Day. Carrying the singles All Night (a collaboration with Matoma) and Middle of The Night (feat. Martin Jensen), the latest offering from the band is the first of a two-part album. The Night edition was released in July, topping charts in several countries, while the Day edition will follow in the next few months.

Comprising The Vamps are Brad Simpson (lead vocals and guitar), James McVey (lead guitar and vocals), Connor Ball (bass guitar and vocals) and Tristan Evans (drums and vocals). The members are barely in their 20s but have already under- taken multiple world tours and have sold out London’s 20,000-capacity O2 four times.

The band has also collaborated with some of the world’s biggest and rising stars. Demi Lovato got featured on The Vamps’ song Somebody To You; Brooklyn Beckham starred in the Wake Up video; and Shawn Mendes performed with them on the single version of Cecilia.

Meanwhile, New Hope Club is the latest group to sign up with The Vamps’ record label Steady Records, which the band founded in 2015. Reece Bibby, Blake Richardson and George Smith — the members of the New Hope Club — wrote and recorded their debut EP Welcome to the Club in England and Los Angeles.

The trio also came up with a single titled Perfume earlier in the year, a heart-on-sleeve, intensely catchy pop number that brings together elements of electronic music and R&B.
