SISLEY TARGETS BEHAVIORAL AGING AROUND THE EYES AND LIPS
You are what you eat and do. This is what Sisley is saying with its new product, Sisleya L’Integral Anti-Age Eye and Lip Contour Cream. This new product not only provides total skincare and addresses visible signs and genetic and environmental aging, but also, and for the first time, those linked to behavioral factors such as diet and stress.
According to Sisley Asia Pacific travel retail director Sue Lewis, if the dark circles around your eyes are bluish in tone, you are consuming too much sugar, and if they are brown, you are stressed or lacking in sleep. The lines around the lips are caused by repeated facial expressions or the results of repetitive movements from smoking or sipping (I think it was a teen magazine that taught me in the ‘90s to avoid drinking from a straw to avoid lines.)
All these, including excessive use of mobile devices, contribute to behavioral aging, which Sisley Eye and Lip Contour targets with three new plant-based active ingredients: atlas cedar extract, fermented pomegranate extract, and passion fruit extract — all target puffiness and blue or brown-toned circles. It also contains Persian acacia extract that eliminates colored toxins that eliminates brown circles, and caffeine that reduces puffiness. The product is also enriched with shea butter, glycerin (vegetable source) and pro-vitamin B5. It targets the lip contour area including wrinkles above the lips and corners of the mouth.
During the launch, I tested the product around one eye, as recommended by Sue. The area was prepped using the limited-edition massager, which comes with every package of Sisleya L’Integral Anti-Age Eye and Lip Contour until supplies last.
How to do it: Step one is to roll the massager over the eyebrow and under the eyes using an outward motion; step two is to apply dots of pressure to boost microcirculation in the same direction; step 3 is to massage with zigzag motions on the same area and between the eyebrows; and step four is to use to-and-fro movements in the middle of the eyebrows to smooth crow’s feet. Do the same above the lower lip. Apply the product with upward motions with your ring finger (the massager is not an applicator and must be used before applying product). There is an immediate feeling of tightening around the eyes and the look of awakeness — if you use it on just one eye like we did, one will appear larger and brighter than the other, which made all of us test subjects (i.e., members of the press) look like we were in perpetual “judging you” mode. The truth is, we were just really happy the prospect of having younger eyes.
