SIMPLY SHOES: FOOTWEAR FOR ALL
We all know that SM started out with shoes. And although the company has grown phenomenally since Henry Sy Sr. opened his first store in 1958, it continues to expand its footwear legacy as it aims to serve more customers in more communities around the Philippines.
Enter Simply Shoes, an affiliate of SM Retail which is envisioned to be the family shoe store in local communities. Here, shoppers can find SM in-house brands like the iconic Parisian line, as well as Milanos, Salvatore Mann, Sugar Kids, and Tough Kids. Global brands like Chicco and Vans are also available, as are popular local brands like Islander, World Balance and Hawk.
Simply Shoes opened its first branch at Waltermart Tanauan, Batangas in September 2014. Today, Simply Shoes has 27 branches across the country: from as far north as Savemore La Trinidad in Benguet, to as far south as Citymall Tagum in Davao del Norte. It aims to have 100 stores by 2018.
True to its core as a family store, Simply Shoes officially launches its new brand ambassadors: actress Cristine Reyes-Khatibi; her husband, mixed martial artist turned actor Ali Khatibi; and adorable daughter Amarah. And one of the things this young family enjoys is shopping together at Simply Shoes.
Cristine says, “Simply Shoes is a one-stopshop for all family members. We like the styles of the shoes, the assortment, and the fact that they are so comfortable to wear. And it gives us value for money for the entire family.”
Cristine also shares how she loves the Ladies Shoes section. “It has a lot of different shoe styles to chose from. We also like the specials sections that offer value for money shoes — two pairs for only P499.75.”
