A back-to back forum on health innovation and regulation is set to gather more than 300 health professionals, medical students and key stakeholders in the healthcare industry on Oct. 7 for the “Health for Juan and Juan: Innovation Summit and Health Equity Series 3” to be held at the SGV Hall of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City.

With the theme, “Balancing Innovation and Regulation for Better Health Outcomes,” the event will engage industry leaders, health professionals, policy makers and students in a dialogue on enabling innovation within the Philippine healthcare regulatory environment.

It will provide a venue for stakeholders to discuss key issues in innovation and regulation in healthcare, aiming to uncover potential solutions that can address the gaps of accessibility, affordability and quality in healthcare.

The event – organized by Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health), the portfolio company for healthcare businesses under Ayala Corp.; AIM; and the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines – will have Singapore’s Ministry of Health group director for health regulation Dr. Ray- mond Chua as its keynote speaker.

He is also the acting director for the regulatory compliance and enforcement division and an elected member of the Singapore Medical Council, which oversees the licensing and regulations of doctors in Singapore.

Program highlights in the morning session include an Inter-Medical School Quiz Bee Competition and a panel discussion on “Next Generation Innovation.”
