DOH lauds Muntinlupa health programs
The Department of HealthNCR recognized the local government of Muntinlupa’s health programs in the agency’s awarding ceremony of best service implementers last Sept. 27 at Century Park Hotel, Manila.
Health Secretary Paulyn Rosell-Ubial led the event and lauded all NCR health offices for their commitment to forward the quality of life for Metro Manila residents.
Muntinlupa City was conferred with citations for its exceptional contribution toward the achievement of the health emergency management goals and continuing partnership in strengthening health systems in the region.
DOH-NCR also commended the city government for its implementation of the National Voluntary Blood Services and achieving one percent blood donation ratio among its total population.
Receiving the award were Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, city health officer Dr. Magdalena Meana, health emergency management staff coordinator Dr. Maria Teresa Tuliao, nutrition cluster coordinator Maria Ana Ordenes and other local officials.
Fresnedi attributed the recognition to the local government’s active approach and partnership with national agencies and private sector on intervention programs through implementation of health program management.
He vowed to continue its commitment in championing public’s health in Muntinlupa City.
“This recognition is not only to celebrate better health outcomes in the locality but also a challenge to surpass our previous efforts because our constituents deserve the highest quality of health care,” Fresnedi said.
The National Nutrition Council also awarded Muntinlupa City with Most Improved Nutrition Program Management, Best in Program Effectiveness, and Most Innovative LGU.
