“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.” — Henry David Thoreau
Recent studies show that we are closer to a cure for cancer in 2017 than one or two decades ago. But there is still a lot of work to be done. Working with the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS) for 14 years now, this advocacy has been near and dear to my heart for so long.
Every year, it is a joy to be reminded that we can turn our pain into something worthwhile when we work together towards helping those who are in the fringes of society — cancer-stricken patients who may not necessarily get the medical help they need and deserve. This season of Best Dressed Women of the Philippines was no exception.
The recently concluded 2017 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines Annual Awards Ball at Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig was attended by distinguished diplomats, businessmen, government leaders and society personalities, and I am very grateful for each and every one of them for their continuous support for this cause.
Special thanks to those who bought these items from the auction, which raised an additional P1 million for cancer beneficiaries: Syatong, a painting by Mindanaoan artist Kublai Millan; Nuturing in Amber 2017, a glass sculpture by renowned artist Ramon Orlina; and finally a five-day, four-night wellness stay at the MedizinZentrum Bad Salzhausen in Germany, which was generously donated by Artorn Chinalai of Integrative Health Management of Thailand.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors San Miguel Corp., Okada Manila, Insular Life, BA Securities, PAGCOR, CATS Motors Inc., Czarina and Alice
Eduardo, 2nd Avenue and 105.1 Crossover FM Manila. Congratulations to everyone for another successful year for Best Dressed Women of the Philippines. I will see you all again next year!
