Dental specialist represents Phl in ICD world meet
A seasoned and highly accomplished Filipino dental specialist, Dr. Hermogenes Villareal is taking part in the international council meeting of the International College of Dentists (ICD) in Taipei City, Taiwan from Nov. 10 to 12.
ICD, with headquarters in Rockville, Maryland USA, is the world’s oldest and largest honor society for dentists who work to improve the profession through sharing and disseminating advances in dental knowledge and who seek to benefit their communities through voluntary service.
Represented in the meeting are all the 14 sections of the College from around the world which include the ICD Section IX, Philippine section, represented by Villareal, an international councilor and master fellow.
Villareal will be in good stead as he tackles his crucial role as international councilor in the meeting considering his past stewardship of the PCDC, PDA, PCOMS, ICD Philippine Section (ICD-PS), Pierre Fauchard Academy (Phil. Section).
He was elected as master fellow of ICD in 2012 in recognition of his distinguished achievements in the art and science of dentistry and eminent contributions to the dental profession and in appreciation of his outstanding services rendered to ICD-PS as fellow.
Currently he is affiliated with the two leading hospitals in the Philippines, the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City and honorary chairman of the department of dental medicine of Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Filinvest, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
