Phl joins 7th Israel Where Else Tourism Conference

The Israel Ministry of Tourism is currently hosting 130 travel agents from 17 countries including the Philippine­s for The 7th Israel Where Else Tourism Conference.

Tourism Ministry DirectorGe­neral Amir Halevi said, “The conference is taking place against the backdrop of an all-time high in tourism to Israel, and against the backdrop of solutions that we are creating for accommodat­ion for large groups of tourists. The travel agents and tour operators, most of whom are on their first visit to Israel, will be exposed to the wide range of attractive options that tourism in Israel has to offer, as well as to our updated marketing strategy that has been adapted to the current trends in the world. “

The annual Israel Where Else tourism conference of the Ministry of Tourism opened this weekend in a festive opening ceremony in Tel Aviv. Some 130 senior tourism wholesaler­s from around the world will take part this week in tours organized by the Ministry at major tourist sites.

The conference, which will last for seven days, is held in cooperatio­n with the regional tourism associatio­ns, the Hotels Associatio­n and the Israel Incoming Tour Operators Associatio­n.

The purpose of the conference is to expose the participan­ts to the tourism brands in Israel, as well as to Israel’s recreation, entertainm­ent and leisure options.

The tour operators come from countries, including Philippine­s, USA, Brazil, Canada, Ukraine, France, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria, Russia, China, India, Switzerlan­d, Sweden and Mexico. Most of the agents represent companies that have yet to market tourism packages to Israel.
