Highway Patrol men spend Christmas with orphans
Personnel of the Regional Highway Patrol Group 4A held a Christmas party together with at least 30 orphans and house parents from the Children’s Joy Foundation Inc. (CJFI) recently.
With the theme “Share and Love with Heart,” the event was spearheaded by its director, Chief Supt. Arnel Escobal and Supt. Peter Dionisio, RHPU4A regional director.
The children entertained their guests who acted as their Niños and Niñas by showing their talents in singing and playing of musical instruments and performing a group dance.
The event was highlighted by games with prizes and Christmas gifts.
“Let’s continue to bring joy and love, not only to serve and protect the children and our people,” Escobal said.
More than 120 police officers agreed to share their blessings by contributing and preparing gifts for every child who they said deserves to be happy.
The gift-giving project was part of the social commitment of the Regional Police Community Relations.
“It is society’s responsibility to give every child the opportunity to lead a good life, not only because of existing laws but also because every child has the right to be happy, protected and cared for,” Dionisio said.
The CJFI is a non-stock and non-profit organization dedicating its efforts to help the disadvantaged, neglected and poor children in the country since June 15, 1998.
Its primary concern is to provide care and support to children and youth needing rehabilitative and developmental services. –
