Fun & frozen holidays at SM Supermalls
Mallgoers have been having a fun and Frozen Christmas as SM’s Metro Malls — SM City Fairview, SM City BF Parañaque, SM City East Ortigas and SM City Manila — celebrate Olaf’s Frozen Adventure in their centerpieces, which are lending magic to the malls until Jan. 27. Olaf’s Frozen Adventure is a 2017 American 3D computeranimated featurette, produced by Walt Disney Animation studios and released by Walt Disney Studios. It premiered in 3D theaters for a limited time engagement ahead of Pixar’s Coco last November.
A take-off from the 2013 hit film Frozen, it tells of the first Christmas season since the gates reopened and Anna and Elsa host a celebration for all of Arendelle. When the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday customers, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own. It is then that Olaf decides to look for tradition with Sven’s help and begins his frozen adventure.
Everything was magical during the Christmas launch at SM City Fairview wherein a huge, frozen Arendelle castle along with a real-life sleigh were featured. During the launch, Quezon City Fifth District Rep. Alfred Vargas, Quezon City Fifth District Councilor Aly Medalla and Pasong Putik Proper barangay captain Evangeline Dungca waved magical ice wands, which lit up the wintry Christmas tree together with SM senior AVP for marketing TJ Cuen- ca, SM regional operations manager Lea Casamayor and SM City Fairview mall manager Vincent Chua. Winter Snowfall also at the same venue at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on all Sundays of November and December.
Meanwhile, SM City BF Parañaque unveiled the beauty of Christmas at Arendelle with glittering lights that transformed the mall atrium into a colorful spectacle as 2016 Miss Global first runner-up Camille “CJ” Hirro hosted the event. A pop-up skating rink by SM Storyland brought frozen fun to the mall atrium, while kids of all ages loved the toy fair featuring Olaf and other Disney merchandise from The SM Store and Toy Express.
SM City East Ortigas also treats their mallgoers to a magical wonderland — Olaf’s Grotto, a Giant Christmas Tree and Disney’s Frozen Toy Fair — where kids and their families can create family holiday memories that can last a lifetime.
