“Allowing citizens of Malolos to use their Malolos Citizen ID card in more establishments in the city is part of our big goal to make Malolos a digital city. We want to enable our citizens to have access to the digital economy and experience cashless payments with ease and security using their Citizen ID card, which is powered by PayMaya,” said Malolos City Mayor Christian Natividad.

Malolos has more than 100,000 citizens who will enjoy the benefits of owning a PayMaya account within the year.

For his part, Paolo Azzola, PayMaya chief operating officer and managing director, said: “With more establishments on-board, Malolos residents will now enjoy secure and convenient cashless payments in more establishments in the city.
