Woman hurt in grenade blast

NORTH COTABATO – A woman suffered serious injuries in a grenade explosion in Aleosan town on Sunday.

Arlene Tamanal, 24, was walking on her way home in Barangay Pagangan when motorcyle riders lobbed a grenade from a distance.

Residents said members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters who are demanding the payment of so-called protection money could be involved in the attack.
