9 unbeaten entries vie for W Slasher Cup title

The World Slasher Cup Invitational nine-cock derby holds its grand finals today with 86 top-notch fights on tap at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Nine participants tote 5-0 (win-loss) cards each and will gun for a perfect nine points in the deciding finals of the event supported by Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialists and Pit Games Media Inc.

They are Arnold Mendoza, Hector Magpantay, Astig endorser Biboy Enriquez of Excellence, cockfight idol and Rep. Patrick Antonio (two entries), Jimmy Junsay, Cholo Violago, Jojo Alcovendaz and Jess Moradas.

Staying in the title hunt with 4.5 points are Arman Santos and Rico Abliter with 32 scoring four points.

The grand finals roster includes seven foreigners – Ferdie Patam of California, Craig Miller and John Rawlins of Wisconsin,Butch Cambra of Hawaii, Soan Sogianto of Indonesia, Joey Melendres of Australia and Jay Gargarena of Guam.

Notable among the locals are Rey Canedo of Davao, Cris Sioson of Bataan, Pit Games CEO Manny Berbano, “Big Event” campaigner Felix Gatchalian, Joey Sy and Noel Jarin, Henry Teves, 2017 WSC champ Frank Berin and Danny Bulldog, Team Alcala of Quezon, Femie Medina, Nestor Vendivil, Thunderbird group (two entries);
