TJ Monterde renews record deal with PolyEast

PolyEast Records has announced that singer-songwriter TJ Monterde remains with his label to create new singles and a new project, which expected to be released second quarter of this year.

In the course of his six-year partnershi­p with PolyEast Records, he released three albums — Ikaw at Ako (2014), a self-titled album (2016), Kahit Kunwari (2017). Examples of his ever-evolving

craft include the hit songs like Ikaw At Ako, Dating Tayo, Tulad Mo, Imahinasyo­n, Mahika and his latest single Kahit Kunwari.

The 27-year-old artist thanked and credited the record label for helping his career. “I started my career with PolyEast Records and I couldn’t have made it this far if not for them. I’m so grateful that my partnershi­p with PolyEast goes beyond the contract — including loyalty and friendship. I’m so thrilled for this new chapter and continue making music for all,” he said.

TJ’s renewal with PolyEast Records gears up with a concert in his hometown Cagayan de Oro with his girlfriend KZ Tandingan. The Valentine concert titled TJ x KZ Live in CDO is happening on Feb. 17 at the Limketkai Atrium, Cagayan de Oro.

The latest album Kahit Kunwari, consisting of TJ’s original songs, has spawned a slew of awards, hit singles and videos. The first single Mahika was named as Wish 107.5 Pop Song of the Year and its music video has already garnered 1.2 million views on YouTube. The music video of the latest single

Kahit Kunwari held the Top 10 spot for six consecutiv­e weeks on MYX weekly countdown and also reached 1.5 million views on YouTube.
