APO to host 11th Asian Pacific Orthodontic Conference
The 11th Asian Pacific Orthodontic Conference (APOC2018) themed “Culture of Smiles” will be held from March 5-7, in the beautiful island of Boracay.
Hosted and organized by the Association of Philippine Orthodontists (APO), this biennial event will draw in at least 850 key thought leaders in the specialty field of orthodontics and delegates from the 18 member-countries of the Asian Pacific Orthodontic Society (APOS) to attend.
The member-countries of the APOS constitute the fastest growing region in the world with 49 percent of the total world’s population and 33 percent of the global GDP enjoying unprecedented growth rates as seen in the availability and delivery of orthodontic care.
APOS is diverse in culture and disparate geographically but drawn together to this key regional orthodontic conference that will showcase clinical excellence with the latest of the best through the wide array of trade exhibits and 17 renowned speakers from around the world including Dr. Ravindra Nanda, Dr. Somchai Satravaha, Dr. Peter Ngan, Dr. Sandra Tai, Dr. Bernd Lepatki, Dr. Young Guk Park, Dr. Tae Woo Kim, Dr. Eric Liou, Dr. Rengarajan Krishnaswamy, Dr. Prashant Zaveri, Dr. Kelvin Foong, Dr. Wilson Lee, Dr. Takashi Ono, Dr. Jorge Faber, Dr. Allan Thom, Dr. Junji Sugawara and Dr. Therese Galang-Boquiren, including a parallel session on free communications.
In a pre-conference event, the 2nd APOS International Resident’s Forum will be held on March 4, with dozens of papers and poster presentations to be presented representing leading edge research and clinical orthodontic practice.
Continuing education units will be awarded to attendees, a reflection of the educational caliber of this international conference.
There will be an extensive trade exhibit, an orthodontic book launching, the publication of first co-issue of the APOS Trends in Orthodontics/Philippine Journal of Orthodontics – all happening in the worldfamous Boracay island.
Included in the congress fee are social events for all delegates such as a “fiesta-themed” opening ceremony, a breathtaking beachside gala dinner/ luau and an entertaining closing and turnover ceremony.
