Filvets to conduct medical mission in Pampanga
The Filipino War Veterans Foundation (FILVETS) Inc. is scheduled to conduct a medical mission at Barangay Consuelo basketball court, Centro Street, Floridablanca, Pampanga on Feb. 21 at 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Veterans, retired soldiers and their dependents are invited to this mission to avail of free medical consultation, medicines, food supplements and clinical procedures such as electrocardiogram, fasting/random blood sugar test, bone density test and blood pressure test.
Alternative medicine procedures will be available such as acupuncture, nerve and muscle massage therapy, foot massage and foot spa detoxification.
Health aid devises such as wheelchairs, walking canes and reading glasses will be given to beneficiaries in need.
This event will be led by Lt. Gen. Raul Urgello, AFP (ret), the executive director and chief operating officer of Filvets, in partnership with the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), Veterans Investment Development Corp.-Industrial Authority (PHIVIDEC-IA) and Veterans Bank, with the cooperation of Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC), Philippine Army General Hospital, AFP Mutual Benefit Association Inc. (MBAI), Littman Drug Inc., Integrated Pharmaceutical Inc., Bright Move Corp., ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative and Kampilan Peace Keepers Association,
Doctors, nurses, optometrist, medical technicians and staff will be on hand to provide the medical services and assistance to veterans and their dependents.
Scheduled Medical Outreach Clinics are conducted in far-flung areas of the country to provide medical health care assistance to veterans and dependents living in the countryside consisting of free medical consultation and medicines.
