DFA: ‘Comatose’ OFW safe, back in Phl

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday denied circulating social media post of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who is allegedly in a coma at a hospital in Kuwait.

The DFA said Noraisa Manambit, who was identified as the comatose person in the viral video, was found safe in Saudi Arabia and was repatriated to the Philippines on Friday.

When the post went viral, the DFA said it mobilized its teams in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, where Manambit was originally deployed, to find the Filipina domestic worker.

The department has yet to determine the identity of the person in the Facebook video.
