IEE-Mitsubishi Electric strengthens network through sports
International Elevator & Equipment Inc. (IEE), the local affiliate of global industrial and commercial equipment leader Mitsubishi Electric, strengthens business network by supporting sports such as through its basketball tournament for employees, partners, and consultants.
Sixteen teams consisting of architects, engineers and sales employees from different partner companies participated in the 4th IEE-Mitsubishi Electric Invitational Basketball Tournament 2017 that recently concluded at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. The annual tourney began in 2013.
IEE president Ramoncito Ocampo led the implementation of the basketball league to build camaraderie among the company’s network of experts, partners, and customers in the construction and engineering industry.
“The activity gives us the opportunity to align with our counterparts in the business,” explained Wilfredo Aquino, senior manager for sales modernization and engineering department-Elevator & Escalator Division of IEE.
“It’s important for us to build rapport so we can enjoy better working relationship especially within the ranks in each of our counterparts. Coordination does not stop after the product is sold. It goes through to the installation and after-sales service. We are working in a stressful industry where even the most little detail matter. The tournament helps us de-stress, have fun with colleagues, and gain work-life balance,” Aquino said.
