Two drug suspects were killed while a police officer was wounded in anti-drug operations in Laguna and Antique on Monday.

Cris Pantaleon, alias Ompong, shot it out with police operatives serving a warrant of arrest at his hideout in Barangay Pansol at around 3 p.m., Senior Superintendent Dindo Reyes, acting provincial police director, said.

Police Officer 1 Randolph Hizon of the Calamba police was wounded in the gunfight and confined at the Calamba Medical Center.

Police said Pantaleon was on the drug watchlist in the city.

In Antique, Aldrich Encarnacion, 36, drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents at his house in Barangay Maybato North, San Jose at around 8 p.m.

Encarnacion, a high-value target, was alleged to have links with the notorious Dingcong group operating in the town.

“We wanted him alive because we wanted to know his source of illegal drugs in Bacolod City,“Senior Inspector Marc Dado, San Jose police chief, said.

Meanwhile, PO2 Kristoffer Reyes, 35, who was absent without official leave, was arrested in a sting in Barangay Libjo, Batangas City also on Monday.

Reyes reportedly yielded sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P25,000, a 9mm pistol, ammunition and a mobile phone.
