Bato makes cops clean ‘filthy’ QCPD station

- Emmanuel Tupas

Policemen from the Quezon City Police District Station 10 in Kamuning received a dressing down from Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa yesterday after he saw their office still “filthy” despite his repeated warnings.

Dela Rosa was on his way back to Camp Crame from an official engagement in the QCPD headquarters at Camp Karingal when his convoy stopped in front of Station 10 along EDSA.

A visibly irate Dela Rosa alighted from his vehicle and went into the police station, where he berated the two policemen who were on duty.

He asked for the station’s commander, Superintendent Christian dela Cruz and the other police officers at the station. Dela Rosa was informed most of the policemen were at Camp Karingal for the accounting of personnel.

Dela Rosa reprimanded the policemen left at Station 10 for not keeping their office and surroundings clean.

“How will the people respect you when your station is dirty?” Dela Rosa remarked as he instructed the police officers to pick up cigarette butts and other trash in front of the station.

According to Dela Rosa, Station 10 always gets his attention for being dirty. He stressed it should be clean at all times as it is located along EDSA and seen by the public.
