Cute dogs at Kung Hei Arf Show
What better way to welcome the Chinese Lunar New Year than in the company of our loyal and trustworthy four-legged best friends?
This was what Amaia Land had in mind last Feb. 25 when it celebrated the Year of the Dog with a fun and unique dog show aptly called Kung Hei Arf Show at Amaia Scapes Iloilo.
As it turned out, the muchawaited community engagement was all the excuse dog-loving homeowners needed to sign up their canine companions for the entertaining presentation.
From frisky shitzus to gentle bulldogs, and from pint-sized chihuahuas to mini pinchers, dogs of various breeds showed off their amazing talents and their best “OOTD” (Outfit of the Day), while their excited humans looked forward to bring home the top prizes.
At the end of the show, the following tandems of “humoms” and pets received awards and prizes from Amaia: Vergie Dorrique and mini pincher Gracie (Best in OOTD); Kiara Nelida and shitzu Kiara (Most Behaved); Melody Joy Emporial and shitzu Bruce (Best in Costume); Angele Bedia and shitzu Gail (Best in Tandem); and Lynette Labating and bulldog Xurvivor Xeuz (Best in Show).
All participants were judged by Brgy. Kagawad Fred Jetulle, Brgy. Treasurer Christine Abalajon and Amaia Land’s project director for VISMIN, Joy Wong. Kung Hei Arf Show was sponsored by Pawbbles pet grooming and veterinary services, Yufiya pet heaven and Lars Buko/Batchoy Eatery.
Located at Brgy. San Jose in San Miguel, Amaia Scapes Iloilo is Amaia’s first economic housing development in the highly urbanized city, which is now regarded as the regional center of Western Visayas.
