Quake rocks E. Samar

A magnitude-4.1 earthquake rocked parts of Eastern Samar on Saturday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said yesterday.

The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 10:43 p.m., was located 41 kilometers northeast of Mercedes town.

It was felt at Intensity 3 in Mercedes, Guiuan and Salcedo, and Intensity 2 in Quinapondan, all in Eastern Samar, as well as in Palo and Dulag in Leyte.

No damage or injuries have been reported from the quake, Phivolcs said.
