Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla (photo) recently graced the commencement exercises held for Bacoor elementary and high school graduates. The lady mayor, a champion of the K-12 program during her time in Congress, congratulated the program’s first batch of graduates.
In her speech, she told the graduates that what they’ve achieved is a milestone event in life and a victory to be proud of, not just among students, but also for the parents who made sacrifices to see them through school. She stressed that the commencement exercise signals new beginnings. For the elementary graduates, it’s the start of another academic journey towards finishing their secondary education. For the senior high school graduates, it’s the preparation for higher learning in their chosen colleges and universities.
Lani also believes that students who experienced the K-12 program would have an advantage once they start looking for work after their formal education. Having undergone specific tutorials under their chosen strands, the Bacoor mayor believes that the graduates are more equipped to handle and hurdle workrelated or economic challenges.
She also encouraged the graduates to strive harder to become valuable contributors to the growth of the nation.
