And now, Ka Tunying Junior

-

After three years in the restaurant business, Anthony Taberna’s full-service restaurant, Ka Tunying’s Café (KTC), now has its junior. Following the success of its four branches (Visayas Ave., Timog Ave., NAIA Terminal 3 and Nueva Ecija), Tunying and wife Rossel decided to enter a new venture; it is what they call Ka Tunying’s Café Junior.

Ka Tunying’s Café started as a small panaderya in the small town of San Antonio, Nueva Ecija. After the breads gained popularity in the provinces, the couple brought them to Manila. From a café that served only pastries, breads and coffee, it then became a restaurant, which serves Pinoy dishes with a twist.

The first KTC Junior kiosk is located at the NAIA Terminal 3 Departure area. The ribbon-cutting and the ceremonial bread cutting happened last April 6 with former Sen. and basketball legend Robert Jaworski and Agriculture Undersecretary for Administration, Agribusiness and Marketing and Regional Engagement Bernadette Romulo-Puyat. They had their own shares of importance to KTC’s story. The Living Legend has a big part in the Tabernas’ lives, especially to the patriarch Tunying Sr. Tatay Tunying is a big fan of the Big J. That is why before he passed away, Jawo was there to visit him. Meanwhile, Berna has been a partner of KTC for a long time in promoting local products as ingredients for their menu. KTC T3 Junior will give travelers good food and good mood. Its all-day breakfast menu will be served in the kiosk together with yummy breads, pastries, coffee and other refreshing drinks.
