Barangay watchman commits suicide

DAGUPAN CITY – A village watchman died after he allegedly shot himself in Barangay Bacayao Sur in this city on Friday.

Renante Gonzales, 47, was reportedly depressed because he was suffering from diabetes and kidney failure.

The caliber .22 pistol which Gonzales reportedly used was recovered near a river by responding police officers and barangay officials.

Scene of the Crime Operatives requested an autopsy on the body of the victim.
