Homeschool Global recognizes student achievers
Homeschool Global (HG), a Christian learning organization focused on providing comprehensive learning services so students can learn better, recently held a Family Fun Day at the Don Jones Field of the British School Manila in Taguig. Close to a thousand homeschoolers and their families enjoyed a whole day of games, music dances and social interaction.
Billed as “Let’s Come Together,” the event kicked off with a Zumba party led by the HG Dance Club. There were colorful and giant inflatable rides and game booths. The event was an opportunity to appreciate and recognize homeschoolers who have excelled in their respective fields. As successful HG homeschoolers, they shared their talents and experiences.
Among those who took time to celebrate were Cheska Rojas, Homeschool TV host and now a theater actress who performed the role Molly in Annie The Musical, as well as one of the sewer kids in the play Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Rojas sang a cover of the popular song I Don’t Know My Name on her ukulele.
Twins Freya and Faline Dorado, budding theater actresses, performed the song It’s a Hard-Knock Life from Annie The Musical. Freya played the role of Gretl in the Sound of Music Manila tour, while her equally talented sister Faline was one of the finalists during the auditions.
Mika O’Hara, one of the Filipino delegates in the UN Youth Assembly and a Homeschool TV host and content creator, hosted the event.
Other HG achievers who shared their inspiring journey were Louise Mabulo, a winner in the Junior Master Chef competition of ABS-CBN. She represented the country in the Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy in Hong Kong. He was also selected as delegation head and campus ambassador to the United Nations Youth Assembly this 2018; Harmie Constantino, a scholar from the University of Georgia and an accomplished junior golfer.
