Mother, son die in road crash

Three persons, including a woman and her four-year-old son, died when a truck crushed the tricycle they were riding in Taguig City yesterday.

Corita Lycop, 31, her son Miguel and relative Anna Sarmiento were in the tricycle along MRT Avenue in Barangay Hagonoy when the truck rammed the vehicle, according to police.

The victims were rushed to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

The truck driver fled after the accident. –
