Forum highlights innovation in business processes
SGV advisory partner Kathrina Macaisa was recently invited as a plenary speaker at the Innovation Forum titled “Innovation for Learning and Development” at the Phivolcs auditorium in UP Diliman. The forum launched the Philippine Innovation Week (PIW) which is a joint undertaking of the Benita and Catalino Yap Foundation (BCYF), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and SGV & Co.
Macaisa, who specializes in finance transformation and automation, talked about the forces that drive the future in the business sector. She highlighted the importance of innovation in the success of several companies, specifically the concept that innovation is not just about technology but also about people, processes, and principles.
In her welcome remarks at the forum, SGV partner Clairma Mangangey, representing SGV chairman and managing partner J. Carlitos Cruz, observed that “Innovation is not just a result of technological innovation, but requires inherent resourcefulness, an entrepreneurial mindset in all employees, and openness to ideas in a company’s culture.
