Crate & Barrel gives back
The Assumption High School Batch ’86 recently hosted a Shopping Day for a Cause at the Crate and Barrel store in SM Aura Premier.
There was a lot of shopping fun with a special 20 percent off on Crate & Barrel items, with a part of the sales going to the Assumption Mission Schools. A program of the Assumption Alumnae Association, the Assumption Mission Schools aim to provide a Christian education as well as livelihood programs that will bring hope and self-reliance to eight schools around the Philippines.
Alongside this was the launch of Crate Conversations with guest speaker Joanne Ongpin Duarte, who is also from the host Assumption batch. Joanne, an entrepreneur with experience in retail, real estate, marketing and corporate foundation
work, shared her business insights with all the guests during the event.
