Mus­lims warned of Ra­madan provo­ca­teurs

The Philip­pine Na­tional Po­lice (PNP) yes­ter­day urged Mus­lims to be wary of peo­ple who might take ad­van­tage of the holy month of Ra­madan to sow chaos.

“We en­join the Mus­lim com­mu­nity to re­main vigilant against un­scrupu­lous in­di­vid­u­als who will dis­rupt the peace and cre­ate chaos,” PNP spokesman Chief Supt. John Bu­lala­cao said.

Bu­lala­cao said the pub­lic should im­me­di­ately re­port sus­pi­cious look­ing in­di­vid­u­als in their com­mu­ni­ties.

He as­sured Mus­lims they put in place se­cu­rity mea­sures for the com­mem­o­ra­tion of Ra­madan.

“We shall en­sure that peace and or­der is main­tained dur­ing the cel­e­bra­tion to keep its holy observance,” Bu­lala­cao said.

The holy month of Ra­madan started yes­ter­day, which Mus­lims ob­serve through prayer and fast­ing.
