‘Tuwing Umuulan’ launch set

Tuwing Umuulan from Kataga-Manila, is a precious collection of literary pieces from 13 authors.

Book launch will be on May 26, at the Club Intramuros Golf Course at 4 p.m.

The anthology delves on the metaphor of rain. Pieces of various genres such as poems, short stories, essays, flash fictions, etc. skillfully and creatively reflect the life of the Filipino in touch with the reality that rain is integral in his experience and evolution as a person, a character, and a complete human being. The authors are clever in their use of rain as background for their literary creations in Filipino that will entice every reader who knows and understand­s the breadth of joy and sorrow that the subject of rain covers.

Kataga-Manila is one of the seven branches of Kataga (Samahan ng Manunulat ng Pilipinas Inc.) founded by Reuel Molina Aguila in 2008. Kataga promotes and spreads artistic and meaningful literature from the experience of society as a contributi­on to its transforma­tion.

It has seven branches: Kata- ga-Manila, Kataga-Manila South, Kataga-Quezon City, Kataga-Lucena (Panitik), Kataga-Lucena (Tanghal), KatagaZamb­ales and Kataga-Online.

Tuwing Umuulan will have a soft launch on May 19 at the 11th Palihang Rogelio Sicat in Baguio while the launch on May 26 in Manila will be a gathering of writers, artists, teachers and students. Purchase of the book guarantees entrance to the book launch.
