kind of person,” adding, “but I love how he sang the Beatles song And I Love Her which is part of his Legends album.”

If and when Richard sings that song in his 10thanniversary concert RP10 tonight at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila (RWM), he will surely make Maricar swoon all over again. His special guests are Kean Cipriano, Sitti, Nyoy Volante, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos and Richard Yap. (For tickets, call Ticketworld at 891-9999.)

As a nod to his 10 years as a singer, Funfare asked Richard to make a list of “The 10 Memorable Songs” in his life. 1. You and I (by Shirley Bassey) — This song’s music video shoot is where I met my wife in 2009. 2. Every Breath You Take (by Sting) — I had a childhood dream to become a bassist and vocalist like Sting. 3. My Way (by Frank Sinatra) — One of my Dad’s favorite songs to sing. 4. Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko (by Rey Valera) — My most frequently requested tagalog song at weddings.

5. I’ll Take Care of You (the carrier single of my first ever Crooner album that went double platinum in 2008). 6. Beautiful Girl (by Jose Mari Chan) — I appreciate my ninong Jose Mari Chan for his advice to keep writing original songs.

7. Yue Liang Tai Piao Wotexin /The Moon Represents My Heart (by Teresa Teng) — the first popular Chinese song I learned to sing.

8. The Way You Look Tonight (by Frank Sinatra) — It represents what a crooner’s music is. Millennials know this song even if it was written in 1936.

9. Always With Me, Always With You (by Joe Satriani) — Highest-ranking Billboard guitar solo song by my favorite guitarist.

10. Keep This Love Alive (by Tom Scott) — My favorite song when I was playing in the band scene after college.
