Pasay councilor in narco list hurt in shooting
A barangay councilor in Pasay City, who is allegedly in the drug watchlist, was seriously wounded after being shot by a motorcycleriding assailant on Saturday afternoon.
Teresita Biscocho, councilor of Barangay 1, Zone 1, is in coma at the Adventist Medical Center, police said.
Initial investigation showed that Biscocho was standing along Cuyegkeng street when an unidentified man on a motorcycle fired at her.
Authorities said Biscocho is in the drug watchlist and considered a high-value target of the Pasay police station.
Probers said the councilor suffered multiple gunshots to the body.
Witnesses said the gunman fled after the attack.
Police said they were checking closed-circuit television footage for the possible identification of the assailant.
