Why teens prefer contact lenses
A study in the United Kingdom showed that teenagers who moved from prescription glasses to Alcon Dailies (Dailies AquaComfort Plus) contact lenses experienced significant improvement in overall quality of life. A person with myopia is able to see close objects clearly but objects that are farther away will appear blurred.
According to Dr. Dichoso, children whose parents have myopia are likely to inherit the common eye condition.
“Children who spend long hours in front of the computer and electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets are likely to develop nearsightedness,” she explained.
