It was an awesome party when SM recently gathered some of the country’s top celebrities and industry leaders, business partners, tenants and stakeholders at the SM Mall of Asia. This momentous occasion was the start of the #AweSM 60 years celebration.
When I was a child, SM was the place where I bought my school shoes. Later, I remember being amazed at how big SM Megamall was. Then SM Mall of Asia followed, which was even bigger. I have now lost track of how many SM Malls there are in the country!
SM Prime executive committee chairman Hans Sy, SM Investments Corp. vice chairperson Tessie SyCoson, SM Markets vice chairman Herbert Sy, and SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. president Elizabeth Sy led the anniversary toast. Sy-Coson said, “While achieving the milestone of us turning 60 allows us to be nostalgic, it is not the history we are celebrating today. We are celebrating the future and we are ready and excited for what is in store. We thank everyone for being a part of our growth and we hope that you will continue to join us in this exciting ride ahead of us.”

The #AweSM launch party is just the beginning of awesome and amazing treats and offers at SM. Up to October, mall-goers can look forward to a series of 60-themed treats, deals and surprises, and a host of visual attractions and interactive activities, featuring innovative technology to make mall-going more memorable.
