UK publication fetes China Bank

UK-based financial portal and print magazine Global Banking and Finance Review has named China Banking Corp. as Best Bank for Corporate Governance Philippines and Best Investor Relations Bank Philippines 2018 for the third year in a row.

“Good corporate governance is the cornerstone of our business, and as a listed company, investor relations is crucial to our success. We are grateful to be recognized anew for our efforts in these fields, which we are driven to excel in to continue earning and deserving the trust and confidence of our stakeholders,” China Bank president William Whang said.

Last year, China Bank’s excellence in governance and investor relations was also recognized by Corporate Governance Asia, the region’s most authoritative journal on corporate governance. In addition, the Philippine Stock Exchange conferred a special citation to the bank for being among the five best publicly-listed companies in corporate governance for six straight years.

The Global Banking and Finance Review Awards honors banking and financial institutions around the world for their innovative banking and investment strategies achievements, and progressive and inspirational impact on the industry.
