Digitally restored Milan on ABS-CBn’s Sunday’s Best

Reminisce the memorable lines of Claudine Barretto and Piolo Pascual in the modern classic Milan directed by Olivia Lamasan as its digitally restored and remastered version airs on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best tonight.

In the movie, Lino (Piolo), a naïve and sheltered man, goes to Milan, Italy to look for his estranged wife, Mary Grace (Iza Calzado). It is there that he meets Jenny (Claudine), a long-time overseas Filipino worker, who takes him under her wing.

The two develop feelings for each other while navigating the foreign city. Their budding romance is put to the test when Lino finds his wife, now with a new family. He must then choose whether to continue pining for his wife or to move on and start anew.

Since 2011, ABS-CBN Film Restoration Project has been restoring classic films to help preserve Philippine cinematic history. Together with Central Digital Lab, it has become the first restoration effort to be done within the country.

To date, ABS-CBN Film Restoration Project has already restored over 120 films, some of which were already screened internationally via film fests, screened locally via red carpet premieres, aired on free-to-air and cable television, viewed via pay-perview and video-on-demand, distributed on DVD and downloadable even on iTunes.
