Shabu tiangge operator killed in drug sting

An alleged operator of a shabu tiangge in Quezon was killed while six others were arrested in a drug raid yesterday.

George Marcon traded shots with law enforcers in Sibang Purok 2 Bangkusay, Barangay Dalahican, Lucena, police said.

Mary Ann Magpantay, Jomar Bautista, Jhomark Rima, Rinato Tianela, Benji Leona and Edgar Arcilla were arrested.

Personnel of the Lucena drug enforcement unit conducted the operation at around 6 a.m. after receiving reports that Marcon’s house was being used as a shabu

tiangge and a drug den. Police said sachets of shabu and the gun used by the slain suspect were recovered at the scene.
