Drug war: 4 suspects slain in Laguna, Bulacan
Three suspected drug dealers were killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in Laguna yesterday.
Another drug suspect was shot dead in a drug bust in Bulacan on Friday.
Isagani Timajo, an alias Pepong and an alias Bote fired at law enforcers in Barangay Canlalay, Biñan, Senior Superintendent Kirby John Kraft, Laguna police director, said.
The slain suspects were alleged members of the Rojo drug ring operating in San Pedro, Biñan, Sta. Rosa, Cabuyao and nearby areas.
Three caliber .38 revolvers, an undetermined quantity of shabu and marked money were reportedly recovered from the fatalities.
A certain Henry allegedly drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to police officers in Barangay Iba-Ibayo, Hagonoy, Bulacan at around 10:15 p.m.
P30-M marijuana plants destroyed
In Kalinga, 132,020 fully grown marijuana plants and 3,000 grams of marijuana stalks valued at around P30 million were uprooted and burned in Barangays Locong and Butbut in Tingalayan town.
The cultivator of the plantations managed to escape.
Norberto Andres Villena Jr., who is on the barangay drug watchlist, was arrested after selling 50 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P340,500 to an undercover agent in Balayan, Batangas on Friday night.
