3 drug sus­pects slain; P.3 M-shabu seized

Two drug sus­pects were killed in anti-drug op­er­a­tions in Bu­la­can while an­other was gunned down by mo­tor­cy­cle-rid­ing as­sailants in Ne­gros Oc­ci­den­tal on Thurs­day.

Jayvee La­gri­mas and an alias Dodong drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu to un­der­cover agents in Barangay Min­uyan, San Jose del Monte and Lum­bac, Pulilan, re­spec­tively, po­lice said.

In Ne­gros Oc­ci­den­tal, Sam­son Fan­iega, 34, was driv­ing a tri­cy­cle when he was shot in Barangay Pobla­cion, Hini­garan town.

Chief In­spec­tor Jake Bar­ila, Hini­garan po­lice chief, said Fan­iega was a close aide of the sus­pected leader of the Ramos drug ring op­er­at­ing in the town.

Prior to his death, Fan­iega re­port­edly told his fa­ther that he re­ceived death threats on sus­pi­cions that he had a hand in the ar­rest of his co­horts.

In Zam­boanga City, Se­nior In­spec­tor Julius Dao-an said sa­chets of shabu with an es­ti­mated street value of P380,000 were re­cov­ered from Aldin Awod, Almik­dal Ah­mad and Loyed Uy who were ar­rested in stings in Barangays Mam­pang and San Roque also on Thurs­day.

Ron­ald Ca­galin­gan, a known drug pusher in Cavite City, was ar­rested based on a war­rant for frus­trated mur­der is­sued by a lo­cal court.

Po­lice said Ca­galin­gan was on the list of “high­value” drug sus­pects.
