Honda Motor Co. Ltd.’s automobile unit in the Philippines is launching the new crossover compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) HR-V this month.

Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) said in a statement the new HR-V would be available in the country later this month.

The new HR-V has a redesigned sporty and stylish exterior, with new full LED headlights and daytime running lights, new front grille, new front and rear bumper and new design alloy wheels.

It will come in two variants: the top-of-the line offering or the 1.8 RS Navi CVT which offers a sportier and stylish character, and the 1.8 E CVT.

The 1.8 RS Navi CVT variant is available at P1.5 million, while the 1.8 E CVT is priced at P1.3 million.

Customers can choose from the following colors: passion red pearl, taffeta white, modern steel metallic, phoenix orange (for 1.8 RS Navi CVT only), and lunar silver metallic (for 1.8 E CVT only).

Earlier this week, HCPI also announced it would make available the second batch of the new Civic Type R by October.

HCPI offered 100 units of the new Civic Type R last year, and all were booked within 48 hours upon announcement of availability.

Given the strong market reception for the vehicle, HCPI decided to bring in another batch of 100 units of the new Civic Type R this year.
