NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH KERATIN

Cream silk launches their triple keratin Rescue line that combines three different keratin ingredients in one product that can help contain frizz and restore dull hair.

The keratin blowout has been many a hairstyle’s saving grace for quite some time now. Women (and men) who want to save themselves from the trouble and damage of hair rebonding prefer the treatment as a temporary but effective means to achieving soft, manageable and frizz-free hair. Depending on the product used and the stylist’s technique, the effects of a keratin treatment can last anywhere from a month to three months. It is an effective, but also expensive, form of maintenance — and then there’s maintaining the maintenance, which involves using only sulfate-free hair products that have keratin, too.

Cream Silk’s latest product line, Triple Keratin Rescue, makes the process much easier, for both keratin-treated and non-treated hair. The range, which consists of Cream Silk Ultimate Straight and Cream Silk Ultimate Repair and Shine, sets itself apart from other keratin shampoos by combining three keratin products in one solution that makes hair smooth, shiny and more manageable after one wash. It contains Keratin Relaxers that contain frizz, Keratin Serum to revive damaged locks, and Keratin Essence to restore dull hair. Ultimate Straight, which I tried at Creations by Lourd Ramos at The Fort during the launch of the product, tames frizzy hair, while the Ultimate Repair and Shine variant makes over-treated and colored hair look healthy again.

“What makes the product stand out is that it’s the world’s first Triple Keratin Rescue. Other products have a base keratin content, but Cream Silk ups the level of keratin so that there’s more in terms of quantity and quality. It’s a combination of three different keratin ingredients in one solution,” says Raiza Revilla, Cream Silk marketing manager. “We’re very confident in what the products can deliver. I’ve tried keratin treatments at different salons and know that not all keratin products are created equal. Some give you shine and smoothness that only lasts for a week; others make hair soft like a baby’s for six months (try The Beauty Lounge by Bianca Festejo in Taguig). But Raiza makes a good point: it’s impossible to do it all the time even if we wanted to — and for those in-betweens, there’s Cream Silk.
