Almer Moneda and Aldrino Abes’ ‘History Remix’ at SM Art Center

-

In his paintings, Almer Moneda attentively surveys environments: urban, industrial as well as natural. Meanwhile, Aldrino Abes’ work, which can beexplained as precisionist and visionary, constitutes a relentless examination of pictorial space using eclectic geometric forms.

For “History Remix,” the differences between the two artists in terms of style has been stripped away. The artists’ works are inspired pieces that explore unconventional painting techniques and unorthodox themes as driving forces. The junction of Moneda and Abes’ personalities, expertise, style, and experiences contribute to a significant body of work that addresses several distinct motifs. Conjointly, their works address conversation and an exploration of self on an emotional and intellectual level.

“History Remix” is on view at SM Art Center, SM Megamall A, Mandaluyong City until Aug. 29, with the artist reception on Aug. 28, Tuesday, at 6 p.m. For inquiries, call 723-9418 or 723-9253.
