SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested Friday in Bulacan two suspects believed to be supplying drugs that are used in group sex.

A report from the PDEA showed that so-called party drugs, including injectable liquid shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), worth at least P100,000 were seized from the suspects in a drug sting in Meycauayan.

PDEA regional director Gil Pabilona identified the suspects as Gerardo Panfilo Domingo Jr., 29, and Edcel Canete, 20, both from Pasig City.

Pabilona said the suspects are members of a group that is responsible for the proliferation of party drugs in colleges and universities in Metro Manila and major cities and towns in Luzon, transacting mostly through social media.

“The modus of the group is to invite students and teenagers to try the party drugs and entice their patrons, especially males, to perform in an orgy since most of their clients are (men having sex with men),” the report said.

“These party drugs, especially the injectable liquid shabu or ‘Taiwanese ice’ have stimulant components, which trigger extreme sexual arousal. This is very alarming and the public, particularly the parents, should be mindful of the harmful effects of these party drugs,” Pabilona warned.

The PDEA said aside from the bottles of party drugs, syringes and drug paraphernalia, the sting also yielded 16 sachets of shabu and eight sachets of marijuana.

The suspects were detained at the PDEA jail at Camp Olivas here and were charged Saturday for possession and selling of dangerous drugs.
